has complied a "checklist" for your trailer.
Your trailer transports your "investment" and with that in mind, you can
minimize the neglect with these simple suggestions.

HITCH: Check to see that receiver locking mechanism is
lubricated. If lubrication is required we suggest a
product like corrosion block. You need to check this
twice a year.
WINCH ASSEMBLY: There are two different types of winch assemblies. One is "Straps". If you have the "straps" type, check for fraying. If there is fraying now is the time to either cut back or re-attach to the "D-Ring Hook". Check safe finger for proper operation, it may necessary to replace the hook. The second type of winch is the "Cable" type. Check to see is the "Cable" is rusted or corroded. If this is the case, shorten or replace the cable.
BUNKS: Check to see if there are any missing bolts. Attachment bolts are the results of the lag screw bring stripped. To remedy this, you can move the bunk "one-way" or "the other" and you can screw into the new wood.
TIRES: Check for any excessive wear and tear. Check for "rot", "cracks", "or dried out spots".
Make sure that the tires are properly inflated.
BEARINGS: Remove hubs and check bearing for pitting or excessive wear. Replace if needed, be sure cotter pins are in and bent over.
LIGHTS: Check connection from boat to trailer. Look for any "blown" out light bulbs. Check wires for fraying fix as necessary, be sure to
seal coat all connections to prevent premature corrosion.
TRAILER FRAME: Look for spots of rust and clean up. Next primer and paint any rusty spots to prevent further spread of corrosion. Look for any bent area's causing wheels to run out of alignment.
Make sure that all your tires are properly inflated.
SUSPENSION: Any broken or badly worn leaf springs will need to be replaced immediately.
BRAKE RESERVOIR AND LINES: Check hydraulic brakes for any leaks. Brakes should be once a year. Replace severely corroded brake parts. Lug nuts or bolts should have a coating of marine grease. Remove wheels and brakes once a year and give them a complete inspection.
